In Pre-K, the teachers are committed to helping the children develop a love of learning and laying a firm foundation for moving forward to kindergarten. Your Pre-K child will continue on their journey toward independence in a safe and caring environment with teachers that are committed to lovingly, but firmly guiding them.  In Pre-K, teachers continue to reinforce appropriate behavior in their interactions with others, encouraging the use of words to solve a problem, finding an adult for assistance and making good choices.​

All of our children in Pre-K will take the Pre-K assessment test at the beginning and the mid-year. Pre-K assessment is a phonological awareness and literacy screening tool that is used to identify strengths and weaknesses in reading. The Pre-K assessment results at the beginning of the year are used by Pre-K teachers strictly for planning purposes.  The results at the end of school year may be used by parent's to make decisions about kindergarten readiness. ​
